BEST BETS FOR FALL DECOR

BEST BETS FOR FALL DECOR

Lori White

Fall is nearly here! Leaves are starting to change, mornings are getting cooler, and school is back in session.

Meh…not so much. It’s still 90 degrees outside my climate-controlled environment, the kids are all up in my business instead of hard at work on school, and I am just desperately craving that crisp cool weather and a pumpkin spice latte.

Merchandisers know this and are already rolling out the fall décor. I can’t wait to show you guys all of the beautiful fall goodies that are being unveiled and becoming available to retailers. I can’t say it enough—I LOVE FALL.

LOVE. IT.

Whether you love a rustic look or a more modern aesthetic, accenting your home with a hint of natural is a great way to bring a bit of fall into your own space. While long branches with fall leaves look stunning in an oversized vase or as a centerpiece, waiting for peak color change in your area may mean that you won’t be seeing those lovely vibrant leaves until mid-late October or even November. Don’t let that stop you from bringing the outdoors in whenever you’re ready!

Pumpkins and gourds come in a wide array of shapes, sizes, and colors. Wagons, baskets, and shelves are great pieces to accent with these autumn classics!  Remember that real pumpkins don’t fare well if they’re too hot or too cold, so keep them indoors when the weather isn’t quite right (or plan to replace them), or invest in some gorgeous faux pumpkins like those mentioned.

Prefer lower maintenance décor? You can still join in on the fun! Berry stems, pussy willow, and dried wheat sheaves are lovely additions to vases and buckets. Fill decorative cloches with festive items like pheasant tail feathers or acorns. Tied bundles of cinnamon sticks not only smell amazing but can be used to fill vases and jars. Have fun with your Fall décor! And remember to tag us when you post images of your displays with #whitehousemarketdecor!
